COVID-19 vaccines info

Please note due to capacity issues the Mary Potter GP practices and the Radford GP practices are not delivering the Covid-19 vaccine programme.

The nearest site to access a Covid-19 vaccine is the Vaccine Hub on Forest Recreation ground (this site re-opens on Thursday 21/10/2021).

To book a Covid-19 vaccine appointment at the Forest Recreation site please ring 119 or go to NHS book or manage your coronavirus (COVID -19) vaccination

Appointments can be booked for a:-

  • a 1st or 2nd dose of the vaccine (also known as the primary course)
  • a booster dose of the vaccine (please note you’ll only be able to book an appointment for a booster dose if it’s been at least 6 months (182 days) since your 2nd dose of the vaccine)

Severely immunosuppressed patients

Please note on 1 September 2021 the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advised that a third dose of COVID-19 vaccine be offered to ‘severely immunosuppressed people’.

This third dose is part of the primary vaccination schedule. It is separate from any potential booster vaccination.

There are a small group of immunosuppressed patients who have been invited for a third Covid-19 vaccine (by letter and / or text message). There is a SwiftQueue link to book this 3rd vaccine appointment.
