If you find yourself unable to ensure your own safety, please proceed to the nearest Emergency Department to seek assistance from the mental health team available 24/7.

Emergency Contacts/Safety Services:

· The Nottinghamshire Mental Health helpline is accessible at 0808 196 3779, operating 24/7 for individuals suffering with mental health challenges. While the crisis team answers calls, it’s important to note that you don’t have to be in acute crisis to reach out. You can discuss new, worsening, or ongoing mental health difficulties, and real-time conversations with the crisis team can be beneficial. Face-to-face meetings can be arranged if necessary.

· The national No Panic Helpline is available daily from 10:00 to 22:00 at 0300 772 9844. This helpline assists individuals on the brink of a panic attack or currently experiencing one, aiming to reduce the duration of the attack. Connecting with this service during a panic attack can be helpful and may decrease the likelihood of subsequent episodes.

· Crisis sanctuaries provide support every evening in Nottinghamshire, open for telephone assistance from 16:00 to 23:00 and offering face-to-face support from 18:00 to 23:00. Two locations are available in Beeston and the City Centre. Each sanctuary is staffed with intervention workers focusing on recovery-oriented crisis intervention. You can reach them via both face-to-face visits and telephone at 0115 844 1846. More information can be found at the Nottingham Crisis Sanctuaries website: https://www.nottinghamshirecrisissanctuaries.tv/visit

· The Samaritans is available 24/7 for people struggling with mental health difficulties. Ring 116123 https://www.samaritans.org/branches/nottingham/

· The Tomorrow Project is a confidential suicide prevention, intervention, and post-intervention service that provides assistance and support. Referrals can be made through email (crisis@tomorrowproject.org.uk) or by calling 0115 880 0280. The team aims to respond within one working day. While not an immediate service, they operate weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00 and have an after-hours drop-in service on Mondays and Thursdays between 18:00 and 23:00 for those at risk of self-harm or suicide. Referrals for the drop-in service can be made through this link https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Harmless-out-of-hours-pre-assessment or by calling/texting 07925 584 716.

· The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Crisis Resolution Home Treatment and Liaison Team provides telephone and face-to-face support to individuals under 18 experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring urgent assistance. They also offer advice to patients and caregivers and can be contacted 24/7 at 0808 1963379.

Free NHS-funded Therapy:

· NHS funded therapy is available to assist with common mental health conditions such as anxiety, body dysmorphia, depression, stable eating disorders, insomnia, OCD, panic, phobias, PTSD, stress, trauma, and more. Various therapeutic approaches, including counselling, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and others, are utilized. A comprehensive initial consultation helps determine the appropriate therapy form, intensity, the most suitable therapist, and the preferred mode of treatment. It is crucial to provide the therapist with a thorough understanding of all your difficulties, the duration of their presence, and their impact on your daily functioning and life.
