Get protected against measles

Please see our measles outbreak page for guidance on how and why you should make sure you are protected against measles. In August 2019, the World Health Organisation announced that the UK had lost its ‘measles-free’ status.

It is important you do your bit to ensure you are protected against these diseases, to protect yourself and to also protect those who are unable to have the vaccinations due to being immunocompromised (such as undergoing chemotherapy) or young age (the MMR vaccine cannot be given to children under the age of 6 months).

You are not fully protected if you have not had two doses of the MMR vaccine. If you have not had your second dose, please contact the practice and we will book you in to see the nurse.
